What All Does the Red Cross Offer for You?
Disaster Response, Training, Health and Safety Services:
Such as; Babysitter Training, Water Safety, CPR, How to live a safer and healthier life, & much more.
They also train those who wish to be teachers/instructors, lifeguards, and peer educators.
Types of Stuff the Red Cross Does
Disaster
Responses; That is their major part.
They help those who have had fires, floods, tsunami's, snowstorms, earthquakes,
etc.
They raise money, send tons of food and water, provide shelters, helps in those shelters, and much more.
But, those aren't the only things the Red Cross does. You local red crosses help with your community with all sorts of stuff, not just the listed above.

→ It's the collection, processing, and distributing of blood and blood products
→ Has international relief and development programs

Giving blood is a simple way to make a difference. In order to be eligible
though, there are a few conditions:
• You
must be 17 years of age
• You must weigh at least 110 pounds
• +You must be in good health

• Recruit a blood donor - Know anyone who's over 17 years old, 110 pounds, & in good health?
• Volunteer at a drive or donor center - It's amazing how great you'll feel by making others feel good =]

...And the Celebration of Junior Red Cross Goes On
The Junior Red Cross anniversary sparked a lot of interest among Red Crossers and generated a contagious enthusiasm from the local to the regional to the national level. You helped us relive the history and take a trip in time by hearing your Junior Red Cross stories; Mark Everson—American Red Cross President and CEO—endorsed the role youth services have within Red Cross and how important are the lessons of the past. Kate Forbes—our National Chair of Volunteers—shared her thoughts on the present and, more importantly, on the future of youth services. In addition, the American Red Cross youth blog had some great entries on the anniversary.
To help you celebrate the Junior Red Cross anniversary we developed some additional resources. See the latest fact sheet on Junior Red Cross. More exciting is that we would like to have all of you engaged in a virtual dialogue by inviting you all to visit the Junior Red Cross anniversary Web site.
